What to expect
NYC's largest and most iconic Lunar New Year parade, hosted by Better Chinatown. Lion dances, dragon dances, martial arts demonstrations, costumes, floats. Best vantage points are East Broadway near the Manhattan Bridge arch (less crush than Mott Street). Coupled with the Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival on February 17 at Sara D. Roosevelt Park (the actual Lunar New Year Day) and Super Saturday on February 28 (20+ lion-dance troupes touring Chinatown).
