What to expect
Started in 1974 as a small neighborhood walk, now the largest Halloween parade in America — 50,000+ costumed marchers and hundreds of thousands of spectators. Anyone in costume can join the march at the staging area. Prime viewing: Jefferson Market Library on 6th Ave (big puppet show on the clock tower).
