Broker wants me to leave apartment for showings

<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Hi all, I’m hoping I can get some clarification on what’s legal because I don’t see anything about this in my lease. We are planning to move out in about two months. The management company wants to show our apartment to potential tenants, which is totally fine by me. However, they want us to vacate the apartment for showings. I have an infant and a toddler, and it’s hard for me to leave for every showing/work around their nap schedules. Is it my right to stay in the apartment during showings if I need to? I’d rather not be home when strangers are milling about and commenting on our living space but sometimes it’s a real burden. Thank you.</p> <p>Edit: Thanks all! This got more comments than I was anticipating. I will push back with a schedule of times that work well for our family.
