Ever seen a successful TVB appeal? Or are we just cooked? Should I try to appeal?

The officer gave his scripted opening, I pled Not Guilty, and the judge said he’d "entertain" my evidence. Showtime.

My Argument:

The officer was stationary in the adjacent left lane, facing the same direction, looking over his right shoulder with a concrete barricade between us. I challenged his line of sight—how did he pick me out of a sea of cars in the dark?

The Evidence:

I showed dashcam footage and stills. You could clearly see the cruiser, the median, and the barricade. Visibility was maybe five car lengths, definitely not the 1/4 mile he claimed.

The Twist:

The judge looks at my abstract: 8 tickets in 40 years, last one was 15 years ago. He calls this one an "anomaly." I’m thinking I’ve got him.

The Result:

Guilty. Fine, surcharge, and a license suspension.

The judge basically said, "He got you on Lidar, that’s it." Even with video proof that the officer’s vantage point was garbage, his word outweighed my evidence. It feels like they can’t let anyone win because it would give the public a blueprint for beating them.

The Rabbit Hole:

The officer even messed up my license class in his testimony (said Class D, I hold a Class B). I almost argued that if he got the basic paperwork wrong, his whole night was suspect—but I figured the judge would just say speeding is speeding regardless of the plastic in my wallet.

I know that my fellow redditors are not my lawyer, just asking if there is any point in appealing this, or is the TVB truly just a "Guilty Regardless" factory? Can you even appeal based on a testifying officer's factual errors?

submitted by /u/Few-Anywhere607
[link] <a href="https://www.redd
