Governors Island Season Opening

The full seasonal opening of the island brings back the Organizations in Residence program (two dozen+ arts/culture/education orgs in historic former military houses), Jazz Age Lawn Party (2 weekends in June + August), Figment festival, GrowNYC urban farm, public art, hammocks, and Makina Café. Ferry is free before 11:30 AM on weekends. Essential Brooklyn + Manhattan shared experience.
