What to expect
The kickoff Saturday of the Harlem summer jazz festival, held at the Marcus Garvey Park amphitheater. A lineup from Smoke Jazz & Supper Club curates the bill with a Sun Ra alumnus headlining. Free, first-come seating on the lawn with rented cushions available. Food vendors from Sylvia's and a rotating Harlem restaurant row. Program runs until sundown with a DJ set to close.
