I need a hairstylist who really knows how to cut thick heavy hair

I have had to wait years between cuts because they would cut my hair too short, to choppy, uneven, etc. Yet I loved the way it looked when it grew out. But not worth the anxiety! Any suggestions on someone who is good with thick hair?
