I want to be very upfront: <strong>they are extremely shy cats</strong> and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust may come slowly.</p> <p><strong>About them:</strong></p> <p><strong>Bonded pair</strong> — they must stay together</p> <p><strong>Spayed</strong>, around 3.5 years old</p> <p>Indoor cats</p> <p>Very shy / fearful at first and likely will hide while adjusting</p> <p>Gentle, sweet temperaments — never aggressive</p> <p><strong>Their personalities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Gumby</strong> is the braver/more outgoing one. Once comfortable, she enjoys pets and scratches.</p> <p><strong>Elmo</strong> is much more timid. At this time, she does <strong>not</strong> want to be touched and needs her boundaries respected.</p> <p>These are not “instant lap cats.” They need someone compassionate who can let them move at their own pace, provide a calm environment, and celebrate small steps. They may be a great fit for someone experienced with shy cats or who simply has the patience to let animals unfold in their own time.</p> <p><strong>Why rehoming:</strong></p> <p>They are not doing well with my resident cat, and I believe they would thrive in a quieter home where they can feel secure.</p> <p>Located in <strong>Brooklyn / NYC area</strong>.
