Say Less Dispensary and the East Bronx Licensed Shops, From Throggs Neck to Pelham Bay

Say Less on East Tremont Avenue is one of four operating licensed shops in the East Bronx. Where they are, their hours, and how delivery covers City Island.

6 min read

Say Less, the dispensary on East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx, sits at the center of a licensed map that filled in quickly, and as of 2026 it has company. Within a short drive of its door, the state's license data lists three more operating licensed storefronts across Throggs Neck, Pelham Bay and Castle Hill. For adults 21+ east of the Bronx River, the licensed map has filled in fast, and the useful part is knowing which counters are on it.

Throggs Neck, briefly

Throggs Neck is the peninsula at the Bronx's southeastern corner, bounded by the East River and Long Island Sound, Westchester Creek, and the Bruckner Expressway. The name traces to John Throckmorton, an English settler the Dutch allowed to settle there in 1642, and the one-G spelling, "Throgs Neck," survives on the bridge and a lot of signage. It sits in Bronx Community District 10, alongside City Island, Co-op City, Country Club, Pelham Bay, Schuylerville and Westchester Square.

It is also a neighborhood without a subway. Buses do the work, including the BxM9 express to Midtown, and East Tremont Avenue serves as the commercial spine. Fort Schuyler, built between 1833 and 1856, now houses SUNY Maritime College at the tip of the peninsula.

The licensed shops

Every shop below appears as an active, operating licensed adult-use retailer in the Office of Cannabis Management's license data, updated at the end of October 2026. Listings change, so treat this as a starting map.

Say Less, 3764 East Tremont Avenue

Say Less opened in December 2025, according to the state's data. Its own site lists hours of 10 AM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday, 10 AM to 11 PM Friday and Saturday, and 10 AM to 9 PM on Sunday, and it takes orders for pickup or same-day delivery. The Sunday hours on its state registration differ from the site's, so confirm before a Sunday trip.

Victory Dispensary, 3653 East Tremont Avenue

A block or so west, near Philip Avenue, Victory Dispensary drew organized objections from some neighbors before it opened. News 12 reported in April 2026 that residents raised concerns about nearby schools and property values, and that ownership pledged armed security during open hours, ID scanning at the door, local hiring and no on-site consumption. Bronx Community Board 10 had approved the application in May 2025. The state's data lists the shop as open since May 2026, with registered hours from 8 AM (9 AM Sunday) to 11:30 PM.

Hibernica, 3220 Westchester Avenue

Hibernica sits beside the Pelham Bay Park station, the last stop on the 6 train, which makes it the easiest of the four to reach without a car. The Bronx Times described it as Pelham Bay's first legal cannabis dispensary when it opened in April 2024, and reported later that year that it had begun delivering across the Bronx and southern Westchester, with a share of sales going to The Bronx Community Foundation. Its registered hours run 9 AM to 10 PM daily.

Weed Land, 1260 Castle Hill Avenue

Further west in Castle Hill, Weed Land opened in June 2026 according to OCM's data, with registered hours of 10 AM to 8 PM daily.

Other East Bronx addresses hold licenses but were not operating as of the latest data, and the borough as a whole had 23 operating licensed storefronts. The dispensary directory keeps the current list.

Before the visit

Verify, every time. Unlicensed smoke shops still operate across the borough, some convincingly. Verify licensed status via the OCM QR code at cannabis.ny.gov: licensed shops display a scannable verification sticker near the entrance, and OCM's retailer finder at buylegal.cannabis.ny.gov lists every licensed location.

Bring a valid photo ID. Adults 21+ only, and staff check ID before every sale. A driver's license, a non-driver ID, IDNYC, a passport or a military ID all count.

Know the limits. Up to three ounces of flower and 24 grams of concentrated cannabis, a category that covers edibles, vapes and oils. Shops can set lower caps when inventory runs thin.

Expect 13% on top. New York adds a 9% state tax and a 4% local tax at the register, and the local share stays in the city.

Read the package. Regulated products carry the state's universal symbol and a QR code that links to lab results. For edibles, the label lists milligrams per serving: start low, go slow.

Delivery across the East Bronx

For City Island, Co-op City and the residential blocks of Country Club, delivery is often simpler than the drive. OCM's data shows no licensed storefront on City Island, and its delivery rules are the same everywhere in the state:

  • Prepaid only. Couriers don't take cash.
  • ID and a signature at the door, from the buyer or another adult 21+ the buyer names.
  • Homes and private businesses only. Never a park, a school, a public building or anyone in a car.
  • During store hours. Orders can be placed any time; delivery happens while the shop is open.

The parks and the campus

The East Bronx has a lot of open space, and none of it is a consumption venue. Pelham Bay Park, Ferry Point Park and the waterfront along the Sound are public parks, and the SUNY Maritime campus at Fort Schuyler is state land. New York state law prohibits cannabis consumption on state-owned land and in public spaces, and that covers all of it. Purchases travel home sealed, and anyone driving the Bruckner or the Hutch afterward should know that driving while impaired by cannabis is illegal.

What it means for your errand

Say Less is one of four licensed counters within a few miles of each other in the East Bronx, with Victory a block away and Hibernica by the end of the 6 line. Check the sticker, carry ID, and pick the shop by its hours. For what's on around the city this season, the events calendar is updated weekly.
