West Village

Townhouse blocks, destination restaurants, and the slowest residential pace downtown.

The West Village reads as Manhattan’s residential showpiece, townhouse blocks off Bleecker, winding streets below 14th, and some of the city’s most recognizable restaurants. The pace is slower than the East Village by design. Licensed retail has been slower to land inside the neighborhood itself, but the Chelsea and SoHo dispensary corridors are a short walk in either direction, and licensed delivery covers the apartment blocks. Hudson River Park runs along the western edge; New York state law prohibits cannabis consumption on state-owned land and in public spaces. 21+ only.
