Harlem
Legacy Black culture, a growing social-equity dispensary presence, and a food scene that pulls crowds uptown on weekends.
Harlem has one of the most distinct cannabis identities in the city, driven by the state’s social-equity licensing priorities and the neighborhood’s deep entrepreneurial history. Licensed dispensaries here tend to be locally owned and mission-forward, clustering along 125th Street and spreading into Central Harlem. The dining scene, Red Rooster, Sylvia’s, the wine bars off Lenox, has pulled weekend traffic uptown for years. A Harlem evening often runs dinner, a show at the Apollo or a set at Ginny’s, and a walk down Frederick Douglass. 21+ only.
